Overview​

External users are individuals or entities outside the AANP who interact with the system for various purposes such as accessing membership benefits, applying for accreditation, or engaging in partnerships. They are categorized into different personas based on their relationship with AANP and their specific needs.

Summary of External User Personas​

  1. Individual Members

    • Description: Includes students, practicing nurse practitioners (NPs), retired NPs, associates, fellows, and international members. These individuals access educational resources, networking platforms, advocacy tools, and professional development opportunities.

  2. Corporate Members

    • NP Organizations:
      • Description: Non-profit organizations that support and advocate for NPs, receiving benefits like directory listings, product discounts, and free conference registrations.
    • Corporate Council:
      • Description: Corporate entities that support AANP’s mission, offering visibility at AANP events, collaboration opportunities, and access to AANP resources.

  3. Accreditation Applicants

    • Description: Organizations or individuals applying for CE accreditation through AANP, managing their applications, supporting documents, and accreditation status online.

  4. Partners

    • Description: Organizations that collaborate with AANP to support the NP profession through joint initiatives, resource sharing, and specific goals outlined in partnership agreements.

  5. NP Employers

    • Description: Employers who provide AANP memberships to their NP employees as part of an HR benefits package, often negotiating bulk membership purchases at discounted rates.

  6. Leads

    • Individual Leads:
      • Description: Potential members who have shown interest in AANP but have not yet joined, including those who have registered for events or accessed resources without purchasing a membership.
    • Corporate Leads:
      • Description: Potential corporate members who have expressed interest in AANP’s organizational membership programs but have not yet joined.
